This is the third of John Paizs's trilogy known as "The Three Worlds of Nick." The other two include Springtime in Greenland (1981) and Oak, Ivy, and Other Dead Elms (2021). This one is introduced as "The Third World presents ... Nick finds love."
This short film includes an appearance of fellow filmmaker Guy Maddin (credited as "Gal Madden") in drag as "Freida," a Swedish masseuse/nurse and henchman.
