Spider-Man guest stars in two episodes, but is never seen without his mask on, nor is he ever referred to by his secret alias as Peter Parker. The supporting character Jeff Hunt, who was created for this show, looks and dresses almost identical to Peter Parker, and even carries a camera around his neck as he, like Parker, is a photographer. However, his personality is completely different.
Although the city where Jessica, Jeff, and Billy live was never called by name, it was revealed in at least one episode that the Potomac River runs through it. This river runs through the states of West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, & Washington D.C.
Billy's last name was never revealed throughout the course of the show. It's unknown if he is Jessica's paternal or maternal nephew.
Spider-Woman was created in response to the animation company Filmation Associates proposal to create a Spider-Woman character for their Tarzan and the Super 7 (1978). Upon hearing about Filmation's plans, Marvel Comics rushed the character into publication, forcing Filmation to rename their character as Web-Woman.
