WBIT carves output deal in Turkey
Warner Bros. International Television Distribution has signed a multiyear free TV deal with Turkish distributor SAR-AN International, WBIT president Jeffrey Schlesinger and SAR-AN International vp Alan Saran announced at MIPCOM in Cannes. Under the terms of the deal, SAR-AN has acquired broadcast rights to a number of films, series and animated properties from WBIT's library and will license these properties to various Turkish broadcasters. Among the films included are The Matrix, The Perfect Storm, Analyze This, Miss Congeniality, Lethal Weapon 4 and Payback. Television series covered by the deal include Code Name: Eternity, Bull, Mortal Kombat and animated titles including the upcoming Baby Looney Tunes, as well as "Steven Spielberg Presents Tiny Toons" and "Steven Spielberg Presents Pinky & the Brain."...
