    Silly rather than quirky

It's shaggy-dog story time courtesy of Joey Silvera, who has the great John Leslie as his director and co-writer of this self-indulgent attempt at comedy. Fans of quirkiness (currently watching Wes Anderson and Coen Bros. For example) will see what happens when amateurs give it a go.

Joey Silvera hams it up, playing a sort of quack who runs a dating service utilizing a list of women, a Poverty row matchmaker. Confusing matters, an untalented Jose Duval also plays presumably the same character known as The Chief (actually the original Pillowman), down on his luck living in a fleabag hotel run by an Indian or maybe Sikh lady -pure caricature. Peter North steals his key List of girls' names an numbers, which is actually Silvera's List, thogh nothing is supposed to make any sense, and Duval's resemblane to Silvera (facially) is further distraction.

Plenty of sex scenes ensue, with unexpected and unwelcome gimmicks and crazy characters thrown in willy-nilly. It's all Joey's way of trying to shock the viewer back awake, after the general enervating effect of porn scenes plus nonsensical idioicy put them to sleep.

Even John Leslie's use of his go-to music man Bill Heid's original jazz/funk score can't save this meandering picture. It opens with a striking lady Chanel Price, looking glamorous as she dominates North sexually after catchintg him burgling her home. Standing 6 ft. 3 inches tall, she towers over Peter memoraly humping him at gunpoint.

Britt Morgan looks marvelous as a girl who picks up Peter at the bus station and then seduces him at her place. Arbitrarily she suddenly after sex is role-plays in uniform as a cliched drill sergeant bossing marine North through his paces in an amateurish skit that should have made its way to the cutting room floor, and it's inexplicably intercut with an interminably unfunny skit of Frisco's all-time nicest cop letting The Chief off easy as his mean landlady insists he be arrested for failure to pay back rent.

And if that isn't silly enough, Field Marshal Bradley is cast against type (for a while) as a milquetoast brother to beautiful Aja, who just as suddenly becomes her sub who she insists on diapering before having sex with him, at which point F. M. Bradley reverts to his familiar swaggering self, the model for soon to be discovered by Spike Lee star of the future Sam Jackson. And through it all, primping his hair constantly Peter North tries vainly to keep a straight face in these semi-improvised (by Joey especially) dumb comedy routines.

    Good fun and light-hearted

Probably the first of Peter North's videos in which he is exclusively the star, this film stars Peter as a young up-and-coming (no pun intended) lothario who is trying to be the next 'Pillowman'. Thus, most of the action involves Peter proving himself worthy of his successor, in the way that only he knows how. Britt Morgan provides good support, including an amusing scene as a female mountie, complete with uniform. There is another good scene from Tony Montana near the beginning too. There are, like many skin-flicks of this era, some silly set-pieces which hold up the action a little but Joey Silvera is entertaining as always, and the scenes are of good quality.
