The movie poster features caricatures based on David Warbeck and Gabriele Tinti behind star Christopher Connelly. Neither Warbeck nor Tinti appear in the movie.
In an interview for the book "The Films of Donald Pleasence" by Christopher Gullo, Oliver Tobias said that most of the cast and crew stayed in a converted army barracks except for Donald Pleasence, who stayed in the only five star hotel in Manilla and had a car which brought him to work every day.
