As this sequel is directed by Denise Filiatrault, who did the first movie, her daughter Danièle reprises her role as "Vovonne". In the first movie, Denise's daughter Sophie Lorain had a role but she is not in this feature.
Though Ginette Reno is renowned as an established singer in Quebec, another signer and musician, Gregory Charles, has a small role. Similar to Renee Claude's part in the first movie, he only has one line said.
Both "Laura Cadieux" movies was somewhat of a comeback for Denise Filiatrault in author Michel Tremblay's universe. She had one of the main roles in "Il était une fois dans l'Est" (1974), written by Michel Tremblay.
