The Spaniard's Curse (1958)

Trivia

The Spaniard's Curse

Edit
When Mark (Lee Patterson) and Margaret (Susan Beaumont) visit the pawnbroker, the camera pans around and we see the name board of the street opposite. It is Balcombe Street, NW1. In 1975, the street was the scene of a siege in which members of the I.R.A. held off the police for six days; they held occupants of the house hostage.
Final film of Evelyn Roberts.
The picture postcard which Mr Justice Manton casts a disapproving eye over shows a woman making a deposit at a bank. The caption says: "I Like to have something behind me, Mr Jones". To which Mr Jones responds "Aye I can see that, lass". The postcard, along with thousands of others was designed by Donald McGill. These so-called "saucy" postcards were mainly sold at seaside resorts and were very popular with peak sales of 16 million cards in one year.
When Charles (Tony Wright) drives to see Mark (Lee Patterson), he drives into Sussex Place, and Mark's place is in Gloucester Square London W2.
