A well-directed satyric drama

The film describes the flow of the events during the military dictatorship in Greece from 1967-74 through the life of a peaceful kiosk owner and its family. During that time he will have to pass through a number of difficult and try to keep his best smile for the policemen and their acolates who shop daily from him. From the other side, he will try to prevent many times his young brother(left-minded politically) from joining demonstration and being arrested.
