Adrian Edmondson and Rik Mayall in Guest House Paradiso (1999)

Trivia

Guest House Paradiso

Edit
When he was interviewed about the film, Rik Mayall said that he considered the film as a 25th Anniversary film, as production on this film commenced about twenty-five years after Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson first met each other at university, which led them to becoming real-life best friends, and a comedy duo.
The scene in which Richie yanks Eddie's head back with a hook up his nose was shot with the action in reverse, then played backwards in the final cut. To achieve this, Adrian Edmondson learned to phonetically pronounce the phrase "Excuse me one moment" backwards.
This film features possibly the longest vomiting scene ever put on film, lasting for nearly six minutes, thereby beating other notorious examples like Monty Python's the Meaning of Life (1983), Stand by Me (1986), Problem Child 2 (1991), The Sandlot (1993) and Team America: World Police (2004).
This was Simon Pegg's first feature film appearance.
When they filmed the scene in which Eddie asks Richie to remove his hand from his groin, Adrian Edmondson made Rik Mayall crack up with laughter when he broke character and whispered to Mayall "I like it. Put it back on."
