In the last three (unaired) episodes, Paula Marshall's character dies. She was replaced by Jessalyn Gilsig, who David E. Kelly liked, so he cast her in his next television show, Boston Public (2000).
Paula Marshall and Danny Nucci had previously worked together in That Old Feeling (1997). They were both married at the time but by the time of Snoops both had shed their spouses and began a relationship that culminated in marriage in 2003 which through August 2021 still lasts.
