The opening for Shemesh was filmed as a promo for the show, it's not known if it was intended to remain as the opening but it did for the entirety of the show's run. This can be quite funny as they never redid the opening for seasons not featuring Rakafet, so you can still see her actress in one of the shots.

Tentzer is often referred to as "Tentzer the maniac" due to his greedy and manipulative behavior. In Hebrew slang, the word "maniac" does not mean insane, but immoral and manipulative person.
It is repeatedly mentioned that Shemesh is a devoted fan of the football club Hapoel Be'er Sheva;Zvika Hadar, the actor who plays Shemesh, in a real-life fan of this club.
