Yes, although filmed to be an R rated movie, to reach a bigger audience, a milder PG-13 Version was shown in US movie theaters. The DVD contains the more violent R-Rated Version, and released with the promotionally effective description "Killercut". In the UK, the situation is different. Not only that the PG-13 Version was shown in theaters but also released on DVD. The R-Rated hasn't been released yet.
