When Kishore Kumar passed away, he had almost completed the shooting of the whole film, only some minor scenes were to be shot. So then Rajesh Khanna helped Amit Kumar to complete the shooting and the dubbing and the film was released.
Leena Chandavarkar brother Aneel was working as a production assistant in the film. After a heavy argument with Kishore Kumar , Aneel was booted out of the film. Many speculate this lead to Aneel's suicide.
The film did not have a theatrical release and was released on television.
