Queen of the Damned is the sequel to Interview with the Vampire (1994) (1994), which was based on the novel Interview with the Vampire (1976) by American author Anne Rice. The movie Queen of the Damned is based on the next two books in Rice's Vampire Chronicles: The Vampire Lestat (1985) and Queen of the Damned (1988). The two novels were adapted for the movie by scriptwriters Scott Abbott and Michael Petroni.
