Space Sentinels (1977)

Trivia

Space Sentinels

Edit
Originally called "The Young Sentinels", the title was changed halfway though the season.
Hercules' character model was reused for the initial designs of He-Man during early production on He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (1983).
A live action clip featuring Evan C. Kim as Mercury and two unidentified actors as Hercules and Astraea was shot by Filmation to be included in a proposed anthology show called 'Space Express'. Although the show never materialized, this 5 minute clip was included as an extra feature on the Space Sentinels DVD set.
The series takes place in 1985.
The Hercules character and character design were brought back for the "Freedom Force" segment of the Filmation animated series Tarzan and the Super 7 (1978) (1978-1980).
