Trivia

Dil Deke Dekho

Edit
Asha Parekh's debut film as heroine. She had been a child actress in previous films. She also fell in love with the film's director Nasir Hussain, who made her a star with this film. Their romance lasted decades, but it didn't culminate into marriage, since he was already married to assistant choreographer Ayesha Khan. In her 2017 memoir "The Hit Girl", Asha wrote that although Nasir was the one and only true love of her life, the romance had to end, because she didn't want to be the other woman.
Debut film of one of the first female music directors in India, Usha Khanna.
The first film in Shammi Kapoor and Asha Parekh's long movie partnership.
The song 'Dil Deke Dekho Je' performed by Mohammad Rafi was a re working of the melody of the 1958 song "Sugartime" by The McGuire Sisters
Sadhana was selected for the film but R.Km Nayyar begged Nasir Hussain to let him launch her in Love In Simla. Nayyar was in love with Sadhana and wanted to be close to her.
