Dharmendra saw Prem Geet at a trial showing and recommended Anita Raj to Raj Kumar Kohli. That is how she was signed for the film.
The year 1983 was very lucky for both, father and son. With Naukar Biwi ka, Dharmendra had hit film after a long time. His son Sunny Deol made a successful debut with Betaab.
Jaya Pradha signed the film in 1982. She was later replaced by Anita Raaj.
After the success of Nauker Biwi Ka, in year 1983, Dharmendra started another comedy film, his own production, tittled Bichoo with Shabana Azmi as leading lady and also, Sai Paranjpe as director and music was to be composed by Shanker-Jaikishan, but the film was shelved after shooting for about 1 month due to problems.
Nauker Biwi Ka is the first film of actor Raj Babbar with Rajkumar Kohli and they worked together in more films. Raj Babbar became regular in Rajkumar Kohli films.
