Uga Uga (2000)

Trivia

Uga Uga

Edit
In preparation for his role, Cláudio Heinrich spent days living with the indigenous tribe of Uailapiti, at the Xingu area, located at the Brazilian Pantanal.
Denise Fraga's last role in a Brazilian telenovela. She later created and starred in the comic sketch "Retrado Falado" for Fantástico (1978) and had roles in films and series.
Unusual for a Brazilian telenovela (and even with the strong sexualized tones) the main couple Tatuapú and Bionda became so popular among children that action figures were launched based on them.
70s clothing and style were used for Mariana Ximenes's character Bionda. Costume designer Marilia Carneiro was also inspired by how her own daughter was dressed after she came back from Bahia.
The sets used as Tatuapú's tribe were previously featured in The Conquest (2000).
