Trivia

The New Guy

Edit
Real life brothers Jerry O'Connell and Charlie O'Connell improvised much of their scenes at the party, including the climbing on the swings (which they were not intended to do).
When Dizzy goes to the county jail and is talking to Luther, a Black Flag symbol is on the wall behind him. Henry Rollins, the former Black Flag front man, plays the Warden in this film.
The theatrical version features a Patton (1970) spoof, while the director's cut features a Braveheart (1995) spoof which the director felt would better lead into the payoff at the end.
Danielle mentions that her grandmother is Albanian. Eliza Dushku's grandparents immigrated to the United States from Albania in the 1920s.
Vanilla Ice, who plays a music store employee who used to work as a bouncer, is credited as Robert Van Winkle, Ice's real birth name. In the movie, he is wearing an Insane Clown Posse T-shirt and a promotional badge for the real Ice's 1998 nu-metal album "Hard To Swallow".
