Barbara Bouchet in Diamond Connection (1984)

Trivia

Diamond Connection

Edit
Emel Tümer was to co-star with Barbara Bouchet, but gave up the role when the shooting was about to begin, and was replaced by Oya Demir.
This rare action thriller has been confused, because of re-titling and common actors, with L'uomo del colpo perfetto (1967), Blood and Diamonds (1977), Stoney (1969), and B.L. Stryker (1989). It is not of them.
The second version of the movie opens with a French statement in French, dated "Jura, Suisse, 1985". The voice off free translation says: «Since the beginning of time, the glitter of diamonds has blinded and fascinated men who pursue them to the point of madness, as if they had the power to solve all of life's problems. The tragic race for them, between Geneva and the Bosphorus, is peopled with ruthless merchants and ambitious men in the curse for the gems, avid of wealth and power. But also taking part in the quest is an altruistic and determined group made up of representatives of all races, brought together by ideals, eager to use these riches against tyranny, and to give the precious gift of freedom to the oppressed people.»
In the movie, Alan Roberts informs his wife Jessie - a beautiful blonde - who is a ballet teacher in a gym for women, of a plane crash. At the time of the shooting, summer of 1983, Barbara Bouchet - a beautiful blonde who was one of the stars in the movie - was starting her own business of fitness gym and videos for women, in Rome, Italy.
