    Lost Film

If it still existed it would rate a 10. This film is lost, there is no copy, unless it is buried in the Universal vaults, and seeing as how Universal treats the old Monster rallies that made them famous, odds are we will NEVER see this film. If someone had bought the rights as stated, there would be at least ONE person bragging they had seen it. There are a few behind the stage photos that still exist like the famous color photo of Elvis and Bill Haley together. This film mostly was a film to promote Bill Randell with Bill Haley as the main bill. If the film was ever actually edited, the Elvis portion would have ran a few seconds to a couple of minutes. It was a short film meant to be shown in movie houses as a filler,a newsreel if you will. Most serious Elvis historians doubt that the entire Elvis footage still survives.

    Only showed once

Documentary on the career of Cleveland disc jockey Bill Randle, who was almost as famous as Alan Freed. Pat Boone, Bill Haley and Elvis Presley appear along with members of Haley's Comets. Randle sold the rights in 1992. Polygram International later bought the film, which has yet to be shown in a commercialized release. This was Elvis' first film. He sang "That's All Right," "Blue Moon of Kentucky," "Good Rockin' Tonight," "Mystery Train" and "I Forgot to Remember to Forget," accompanied by Scotty Moore on guitar and Bill Black on bass. Filmed at Brooklyn (Ohio) High School in the afternoon with an evening concert at St. Michael's Hall in Cleveland, October 20, 1955. The Four Lads and Priscilla Wright were also on the bill that night. Presley's first concert north of the Mason-Dixon Line was in February 1955 at Cleveland's Circle Theater. He played there again the following month and also the night before the Brooklyn show. Headliners were Roy Acuff and Kitty Wells.

Pied Piper of Cleveland 50th Anniversary

My band and I Had the privilege of bringing the Spirit of Elvis back to Brooklyn High for the 50th Anniversary of this historic event. We shared the stage with The Four Lads, Priscilla Wright and Bill Haley's Original Comets. What a thrill it was to be eating breakfast the next morning with members of the Comets and have one tell me "Look, you're on the news". There I was with true Legends of Rock & Roll and I was the one on the news cast. Walt Sanders & The Cadillac Band have been performing all over since 1994. With a sincere attitude, this is not your typical 'impersonation' this is a true Tribute to Elvis Presley. Please have a look for yourself. Make sure to visit our guest book.
