Mumbai, Feb 18 (Ians) Playback singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya sang the original ‘Main Khiladi’ song almost thirty years back along with Udit Narayan — the man with the honey glazed voice. And now, the reprised version of the song, which was released a few days back, is garnering a lot of positive response from the listeners, which has the singer chuffed.
Abhijeet has been the voice behind most of Akshay Kumar’s 90s superhit songs and has several chartbusters in movies such as all the ‘Khiladi’ franchisee films, including ‘Sabse Bada Khiladi’, ‘Khiladi’, ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’, ‘Khiladiyo Ka Khiladi’, ‘Mr & Mrs Khiladi’ and ‘Khiladi 420’.
When asked about the reprised version of his song, Abhijeet said: “I sang this song originally and now the remake version has given me equally immense joy and definitely reminded me of the time when I first sang it for the original song. It became quite...

‘Anupamaa’ actor Sudhanshu Pandey said that people’s mindset needs to change, as he shared his views on the National Girl Child Day. He added that it is important to change many misconceptions and notions about girl child in the society.
He shared: “I wouldn’t say that in India we treat women as inequality, we are the oldest civilisation and this is the only country that worships a lady called Ardhanarishvara which is a symbol of equality and a symbol of man and women in one body. The atrocities on women can happen anywhere in the world.”
“There’s always good in evil society, it is a part of human life and whenever there is something wrong there is always something right also. I would say that we have a festival called Navratri where we pray to 9 forms of goddess Durga,” he added.

With Akshay Kumar's diabolic villainous look revealed in Shankar's 2: 0 (Robot 2), the film's shooting has taken off in Delhi in a big way. According to sources close to the film, a large chunk of the film's action scenes would be shot in the capital. Says the source, "The director Shankar has put together some of the most expensive and elaborate fight sequences. These will be shot in Delhi at undisclosed locations." Akshay recently met Rajinikanth for the first time. About the meeting a source says, "Akshay introduced himself as a big fan of Rajni Sir. They got along like a house of fire. Since the entire film revolves around the conflict between Rajini Sir and Akshay's character, it was very important to establish an impeccable working relationship between them. This has been achieved." Akshay's hideous look for 2: O, which was released on Wednesday has gone viral.

The 90s masala films are back in vogue, and who better to represent the genre than the Khiladi himself, Akshay Kumar, as he revives his iconic character again. After a 12 year gap since Khiladi 420 (in 2000) Akshay is back to his action avatar in Khiladi 786. This time, Kumar joins Himesh Reshammiya who makes his big mainstream debut, and doubles as script-writer and music director. With all this pressure, Himesh has created a very average album of 14 songs, that will likely become chartbusters regardless of their lasting appeal. The albums is a bit of a letdown considering Reshammiya was on a roll with his hit albums from Son Of Sardaar, and Bol Bachchan. It’s not overtly terrible, but it’s just not the original and creative Himesh, who can great albums like Radio and Damadamm.

The suspense is over. After it was declared by the makers that Nargis Fakhri would have to make way for another girl in Khiladi 786, there were speculations galore around who would be the chosen one. While it would be futile to name the ones who were pitching for the role and were also in consideration, it has now been revealed that Asin is the chosen one. "Yes, Asin has been signed for the film. In fact she would be starting the film's shoot immediately", says our well placed source attached to the film. This would also make it second instance where Asin would be paired opposite Akshay Kumar (Housefull 2). Incidentally, Asin has been time and again repeated by her co-stars after being paired opposite them. Whether it is Salman Khan (London Dreams, Ready), Ajay Devgn (London Dreams, Bol Bachchan) and now Akshay Kumar, the girl is finding herself in every senior actor's wish-list.

November 2, 2010: Akshay Kumar, who had established his name in the film industry by proving to be one of the most diehard action stars, was suddenly seen shunning from the very genre of cinema that he was so much well appreciated for.
Akshay Kumar, fondly known as Khliladi Kumar, was seen in most of his early career flicks like Khiladi No 1, International Khiladi, Khiladi 420, etc, doing some of the most daring action sequences ever tried out before by any top B town star! Reports are that he seldom let the director use a body double, and always put in that extra bit of effort to carry off each stunt on his own, once he even carried out a stunt on the wing of an aircraft in motion!
However, after.
