Yeh Rishta Na Tootay

Edit
"Chor Jo Kare Choree Toh Pakada" was sampled in the song "Penny F... "(Prod. by Plusga) . This was released in the album Desired in the 3 Worlds. The Guadaloop were the main artistes on this album.
Johnny Lever got the film thru Kalyanji Bhai. Johnny use to do stage shows with them in those days. Johnny had a fear of acting in front of a camera. He loved the stage, but was very nervous at the thought of acting in films. He had no interest to act in films. One day while Johnny was at Kalyanji's house, the producer of Yeh Rishta Na Tootay called Kalyanji. He immediately needed a good small comic actor for a scene asked Kalyanji to find him one. Kalyanji saw Johnny and told the producer I have a great comic actor right here. By the evening Johnny Lever had his plane ticket to fly to Madras to shoot his role. But Johnny was so nervous about acting, he fell sick. When he landed in Madras, he had no intention to do the film and was ready to run away back to the airport. Finally some how he reached the film set. There he noticed everyone working hard doing their own thing. There was so much chaos as they were speaking Telegu and Johnny could not understand anything. He also got confident to act when he saw so many people there fully working and full confident. He asked himself why was he being so nervous and scared ? After Johnny gave his shot, the director congratulated him and told him he was a super actor. Johnny got more confident and shot more lines. This was how Johnny Lever entered films.
Newcomer Shashi Puri was in the running for the film. But Raj Babbar's secretary told the producers that the film would sell for a higher price if Raj Babbar was in it. This is how Raj Babbar was signed.
Disco legend Cerrone's song "Love In C Minor" was a huge inspiration for many music directors in India. The song was first sampled by Bappi Lahiri in the song "Yaari Hai Phoolon Se" from 0:06-0:28, from the movie Shikshaa. Then it was used by H.Mangeshkar in the song "Idhar Aa Aa Bhi Jaa" from the movie Dhanwaan. The part inspired in the Indian song was from 0:00-0:15, from the Cerrone's song at 1:41. Then again sampled at 1:16-1:30 from Cerrone's song at 2:48 to 3:26, then again at 4:01. Govind Naresh Instrumental music in the film Ghamamdee also used Love In C Minor as inspiration. The moaning of the woman in the intro of "Apni To Jaise Taise" from Laawaris was also inspired from Love In C Minor. The exact part from 7:18 - 7:19 from Love In C Minor was recreated for a important scene in Namak Halaal. It was recreated for the part where Satyen Kappu stands next to the toy hotel models and shows Ranjeet all the hotels they should own around the world. The bass line was same as Love In C Minor. The intro of beat / music of the song "Suno Suno Mere Kahani Suno" by Runa Laila from the album Superuna, was sampled from the intro beat of "Saath Mere Aaogi, Ice Cream Khaogi" from Justice Chaudhury.
