20th Television have dropped yet another teaser for Alien: Earth, their upcoming sci-fi horror series that will serve as a prequel to the first film in the franchise, revealing what happened back home on Earth two years before the events of the 1979 movie.
While we don't have an official premiere date, the series is slated to debut this Summer on FX on Hulu domestically and Disney+ via Star internationally. Also, with the Super Bowl right around the corner, there's a very real possibility that a full-length trailer could debut during the annual event, especially considering the Big Game is airing on Fox.
Plot details remain relatively under wraps, but the basic premise is as follows, "When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet's greatest threat."

The developers of No Man's Sky have resolved a rare, frustrating bug that only seems to affect the most dedicated players. First released in 2016, No Man's Sky has had a long journey. Critically panned as a disappointment upon release, it has been extensively changed and built upon in the eight intervening years, up to and including the recent Cursed update. It's generally considered the subject of one of the best redemption stories in the gaming industry, and that manifests in ways both big and small.
No Man's Sky developer Martin Griffiths recently posted a thread on X (formerly Twitter) detailing the process of fixing a rare bug, reported by a player with over 600 hours in the game. The bug, which causes the screen to flicker in various colors as the player moves the camera. It's not necessarily destructive, but it is distracting, and potentially hazardous to players with photosensitive epilepsy.

When we think of monsters on this channel, most of the time its from a fictional, mythical, or legendary monster like the Mummy, Wolfman, Dracula, or Frankenstein’s Monster. On this specific show, however, a Monster can take on a whole new meaning. I joke that half of these episodes will be about reportedly true possessions and while that will probably hold fast, there is another type of monster we have discussed a few times. The guy that loosely inspired the Scream killings, Henry from Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, and today’s subject Aileen Wuornos. The movie made about her is literally called Monster and put director Patty Jenkins and star Charlize Theron, at least in terms of her being seen as an A list actor who can actually act, on the map. It’s a straightforward telling of a murderer that of course adds nuance and even...

The hot Platinum Dunes package has been picked up by Screen Gems, Deadline informs us, with Michael Bay and Brad Fuller producing Wolf Night for Platinum Dunes.
Will Honley and April Maguire wrote the screenplay for Wolf Night, but aside from the comparisons to the aforementioned movies, the plot is under wraps at this time.
Jonathan Liebesman’s directorial credits over the years also include Rings (2005), The Killing Room (2009), Wrath of the Titans (2012), and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014).

"Damsel" is an upcoming Netflix movie starring Millie Bobby Brown that puts a subversive spin on traditional fairy tale tropes. Netflix has been successful with reimagining old-school fantasy stories with a modern edge, such as with "Cursed" and their adaptation of "Pinocchio." The fantasy genre offers great potential for Netflix in terms of creating new franchises and attracting fantasy fans who are currently turning to other streaming services.
Millie Bobby Brown’s next big movie release on Netflix – Damsel, arriving in 2024 – is continuing a genre trend that could be lucrative for the streaming service. Damsel revolves around a young princess, played by Brown, who seems to be set up to marry a handsome prince. However, it turns out to be a ruse and she’s thrown into a dark cave with an evil, fire-breathing dragon, where she’ll have to rely on her wits to survive. It’s a subversive...

Netflix's habit of canceling shows too early has left fans feeling frustrated and betrayed, as promising series like "The Oa," "The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance," and "I Am Not Okay With This" were abruptly ended after only one season. The streaming service seems to be trying to replicate the success of shows like "Game of Thrones" and "Stranger Things" by producing fantasy, sci-fi, and supernatural stories that can capture the zeitgeist and attract new viewers. However, not all of these shows have been able to achieve the same level of popularity and viewership. While some canceled shows like "Warrior Nun" and "Cursed" were able to gain a dedicated fan base and even campaign for a movie trilogy, others like "Lockwood & Co." and "The Bastard Son & the Devil Himself" left viewers with unanswered questions and a sense of disappointment. Netflix's cancelation decisions often leave fans longing for more.

Warning: This article contains spoilers for series five of Ghosts
Somehow, the final series of Ghosts has neatly tied up all the show’s loose ends while still leaving us wanting more – which is a jolly good thing considering they’ve confirmed we’re getting one more Christmas special in December 2023.
They really packed a lot into those last six episodes, revealing the heartbreaking truth behind the deaths of Kitty and the Captain, showing Alison and Mike’s next step in life, and giving the whole gang the opportunity to say all the lovely, touching things fans wanted to hear (as well as adding a poignant reference to Mary in the opening credits).
Taking the characters on these final journeys involved lots of flashbacks and new faces, so let’s recap all the most important guest stars from series five:

The battle at Last Light Inn can be a challenging and even frustrating encounter in Act 2 of Baldur's Gate 3, but it doesn't have to be. As a deep, choice-driven roleplaying game, Baldur's Gate 3 is all about offering multiple approaches to overcoming the hurdles that it presents throughout the story. Some enemies can be defeated through persuasion rather than battlefield prowess, and certain encounters may never even arise depending on the decisions made beforehand. The ability to choose the order in which the party does many tasks can also be a great way to dodge certain complications that only arise with specific sequencing.

King Arthur adaptations have been plentiful and varied, with actors like Clive Owen, Michael York, and Sean Connery leaving their mark on the character. Some adaptations have taken a more serious approach to the Arthur legend, like "Camelot," while others, like "A Knight in Camelot," went for a more comedic and lighthearted tone. The recent Netflix show "Cursed" offers a fresh perspective on the myth, with Devon Terrell bringing charisma to his portrayal of Arthur, while Iain De Caestecker's Arthur in "The Winter King" is portrayed as a commanding figure in a divided Britain.
The legend of King Arthur has been recounted and reinvented countless times for movies and TV shows, with many actors bringing their own unique take on the mythic character. A quick scan of adaptations of the Arthur story reveals a near-bottomless well of films, shows, novels, comics and more. These have ranged from some straightforward retellings to odder takes,...

Diablo 4‘s World Bosses are one of the game’s most traditional Mmorpg elements. These massive enemies can only be defeated by groups of players who must cooperate and coordinate to take them down and take them on. They’re some of the game’s most rewarding challenges, but figuring out when and where these bosses spawn has actually been the bigger challenge so far.
The bad news is that there is no easy way to quickly tell when and where a Diablo 4 World Boss will appear. Future updates may address that issue, but it’s definitely an issue at the moment. Spontaneous focuses on Langford’s Mara and her budding relationship with Charlie Plummer’s Dylan. Melbourne and Brisbane-based Continuance Pictures has launched a short film fund offering up to $10,000 per project for emerging filmmakers whose shorts would serve as concepts for feature films or TV series.
The aim is to create shorts that will screen at A-list film festivals and provide proof-of-concept for bigger productions.
Co-founded by Tristan Barr and David Gim, the production company hopes the Continue Short Film Initiative will result in more than 50 shorts over five years.
Barr says: “As a filmmaker there is nothing worse than receiving a rejection letter and not understanding why. Through this process the team at Continuance Pictures are attempting to provide feedback to applicants to build working relationships and ongoing opportunities for the future.”

A teaser has just been released from the pilot episode for a new paranormal comedy titled Cursed, from Head Above Water creator Connor Fairclough and award-winning producer Tristan Barr, that parodies the clichés and techniques typically found in the horror genre, similar in style to Shaun of the Dead. Shot with the intention of an online release, Cursed draws influence and satirises such horror films as The Conjuring, It, The Nun, and Annabelle.
The story follows Isaac (Kyle McCallion), who releases a curse on himself after fiddling with a Ouija Board one drunken night. Through each episode, he and his useless housemate Ned (Omar Al-Sobky) must deal with countless paranormal hauntings whilst managing their daily mundane lives.
Ever been interrupted by an interdimensional force of evil whilst on the toilet? Or had to take responsibility of a possessed doll when you haven’t even mastered personal responsibility? Had to distance...

Netflix has secured the rights to “John Henry and The Statesmen,” an original pitch from writer Tom Wheeler with Dwayne Johnson attached to star.
“Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” director Jake Kasdan is on board to helm. Netflix landed the rights after a heated bidding war that attracted many of the major studios. The film marks Johnson’s first feature at Netflix, another win for the streaming giant, which is already in production on projects with Mark Wahlberg and Ryan Reynolds.
“Netflix is the perfect partner and platform for us to continue entertaining our global audience in a disruptive way,” Johnson said. “These diverse characters speak to a legacy of storytelling that is more relevant than ever and span across a worldwide audience regardless of age, gender, race, or geography.”
Wheeler developed the pitch with Hiram Garcia, president of production at Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia’s Seven Bucks Productions.
