Chelsea Handler is set to return to Netflix with a new comedy special, The Feeling, premiering on March 25. Recorded at the Wellmont Theater in New Jersey, the show sees Handler tackling topics ranging from her own beginnings to a series of unpredictable events driven by what she calls “the feeling.”
Handler, who co-wrote the special with director Shannon Hartman, uses the stage to offer a candid look at her life. In the performance, she shares humorous takes on her birth, early business ventures, and an array of personal anecdotes.
One clip from the special highlights her frustration with the sport of pickleball. “I blame Covid for pickleball,” Handler remarks. “When people bang on and on about pickleball, that is not real exercise, Ok? So shut the f–k up about it. You would burn more calories shoving an actual pickle up your asshole on a pickleball court than playing a game of pickleball.

Gorgeous and glacial in equally frosty measure, Lucile Hadžihalilović’s “The Ice Tower” is all art-film-only vibes, a wintry 1970s fairy tale about a screen actress who casts a potentially dangerous spell. It’s anchored by an actress, Marion Cotillard, who has one of the great faces, and a classical sophistication with a glamorous, out-of-reach noirish beauty that pairs wonderfully with a creature cut out of Hans Christian Andersen: amorous, elusive, but wounded.
Shot gorgeously in France and Northern Italy by cinematographer Jonathan Ricquebourg — this is truly the most visually astonishing movie so far to premiere at the 2025 Berlinale — “The Ice Tower” will prove an uneasy catch for commercially minded audiences looking for anything more than a mood in feature form. But those wanting to be hypnotized by cinema, as this film really does put you in a state of trance, will enjoy a unique experience from the director of “Innocence” and “Evolution,...

Self-described “Dei host” Chelsea Handler emceed the Critics Choice Awards on Friday for the third year in a row, and while she addressed the devastating wildfires and tackled politics (including a swipe at first lady Melania Trump), Handler shied away from the topic that was on everyone’s mind: Karla Sofía Gascón.
The Best Actress nominee’s offensive social media posts about such topics as Muslims, George Floyd, and diversity at the Oscars were unearthed last week by a journalist, causing the Emilia Pérez awards campaign to be derailed. Gascón previously announced that she wouldn’t attend the Critics Choice ceremony and other awards-related events. Criminal Minds will be returning with season 18 in 2025 and we have some details to share about the upcoming episodes.
The third season of Evolution, the continuation of the beloved CBS show, will premiere on Paramount+ later this year.
TVLine has confirmed that the action will pick back up “six months” after the end of the previous season.
Criminal Minds showrunner Erica Messer previously revealed that we are done with Gold Star in the upcoming season, but the next season won’t necessarily be a new case.
“Not 100%, because we still have Voit in our life. It’s a bit more hybrid. Remember, we didn’t solve Gold Star really until we caught Damien, so that was sort of an ongoing story for most of the season. This [next] season will feel a little different, where we’re solving standalone ‘Catch the Bad Guy’ cases,” she told TVLine.
So, which cast members are coming back?...

The police procedural may be a staple of network TV, but it's finding new life on streaming, as Criminal Minds: Evolution has found a welcome home on Paramount+. The original Criminal Minds aired on CBS for 15 seasons, while Criminal Minds: Evolution will be going into its third season. It brought back favorite characters such as David Rossi (Joe Montegna), Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster), Jennifer “J.J.” Jareau (A.J. Cook), Luke Alvarez (Adam Rodrigeuz), and Dr. Tara Lewis (Aisha Tyler). Will Lamontagne, Jr. (Josh Stewart) was also among the Criminal Minds: Evolution cast, though he didn't return for season 2.
As a detective working closely with Criminal Minds' Behavioral Analysis Unit, Will once played an important recurring role in the police procedural. He was also romantically involved with J.J., and the father of her child, Henry. Having been a recurring presence since Criminal Minds season 2, Will’s departure from Criminal Minds: Evolution was sudden,...

Sabrina Carpenter's Short N' Sweet was such a massive success upon release that some of her other hits have sadly been forgotten. Carpenter has been releasing music since 2015, but it wasn't until 2024 that everything about Sabrina Carpenter's life changed. After a public love triangle, opening up for Taylor Swift's Eras tour, and playing two Coachella weekends where she debuted her single "Espresso," Carpenter became a mainstream pop superstar. By the time her sixth studio album dropped, she was already one of the biggest stars of the year. Short N' Sweet further cemented Carpenter's place in the music industry.
The former Disney Channel star earned her first #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 with her summer single "Please Please Please," and when Short N' Sweet released it debuted at #1 on Billboard's 200 charts. Her previous album, Emails I Can't Send, peaked at #23 on the same chart, proving Carpenter has reached new career heights she's never seen before.

If there’s one thing that now 17 seasons of watching the profilers of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (Bau) hunting down serial killers and the like has taught us, it’s that there’s no shortage of UnSubs out there. Criminal Minds, after running 15 seasons on CBS (2005-2020), returned with a new iteration, Evolution, in 2022 on Paramount+. In this revival, the Bau continues to do what they do best, but as the first two seasons have shown, there’s also one major UnSub they’re searching for. A third season of Evolution and 18th overall of Criminal Minds was picked up by Paramount+ on June 5, one day ahead of the second and 17th (depending on how you count) premiering. But what do we know about Season 18 of the Paramount+ drama? Read on for what we know about the cast, plot, and more, and keep checking back for updates. ...

Criminal Minds: Evolution season 4 gets a hopeful update from star Paget Brewster, with the third season wrapping filming. When viewers last caught up with the Paramount+ revival, the big takeaway was the stabbing of Elias Voit (Zach Gilford) by his fellow inmates. Even though showrunner Erica Messer has confirmed that Voit will return for Criminal Minds: Evoultion season 3, there are questions about whether the stabbing was staged and to what end.
Brewster, who plays Emily Prentiss, took to social media to announce that Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 had wrapped filming. The revival can also be considered a direct continuation of the original Criminal Minds, which is why it's sometimes also called season 18. In any case, Brewster sounds hopeful that the series will be renewed. She wrote, in part: “We are optimistic we’ll get a season 19.”

It's hard to definitively categorize sci-fi into an individual box. Unlike other genres, there is never a singular concept that sci-fi focuses on. Rather, it imagines scenarios in which humanity is unbounded from limits on technological innovation and advancement. Thus, the possibilities are virtually endless. In these movies, dystopian futures are a reality, the universe is explored to its greatest ends, and extraterrestrial life is prominent. Even with unlimited potential, it seems like the most famous sci-fi works typically implement a pessimistic perspective.
For example, Ridley Scott's Blade Runner franchise, which will continue in 2025 with the series Blade Runner 2099, takes on the concept of hyper-advanced AI but does so in a bleak, depressing tone. Meeting other life forms has some positive implications, but the genre always assumes the worst. Several upcoming Alien movies will surely reinforce this trend, and offer a continuation in the story of the vicious Xenomorphs.

We may finally get answers about that special assignment Dr. Spencer Reid has been on! Matthew Gray Gubler is set to reprise his role as Reid in Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 18 in “part of one … episode,” according to TVLine. Gubler was part of the show’s original full 15-season run on CBS, which ended in 2020. It then returned as Evolution on Paramount+ in 2022. Over the first two seasons of the new run, both Reid and Matt Simmons (Daniel Henney) have been the only members of the Bau who were with the team at the end of the original series to not return. Both were said to be on special assignment in the Season 16 premiere, with Deputy Director Bailey (Nicholas D’Agosto) telling Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) he wasn’t “at liberty to discuss” it, and, “if and when they return is entirely up to them. Sadly, we don’t have a say.

The procedural series Criminal Minds: Evolution resurrected the original show after a short stint off the air, and now it is set to return for season 3. Continuing the success of Criminal Minds which ran from 2005 until 2020, Evolution follows the familiar FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit team as they try to crack the touch case of the Gold Star killer. Unlike the original series, which was a pure procedural and featured an episodic format, Evolution shifted toward a serialized narrative involving one long ongoing storyline that has carried over between its two seasons thus far.

Pokmon fans could get a new look at Pokmon Legends Z-a ahead of next year's Pokmon Day thanks to a well-known leaker. The final moments of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire features a sweet tribute to Ivan Reitman, which is a fitting farewell to the legendary director. For most of its run-time, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire has fun bringing back characters and locations from the original Ghostbusters movies to interact with the next generation of the franchise. This includes a few key tributes to past characters and concepts, bringing back much of the original surviving cast for certain moments.
However, the sweetest tribute to the history of the series comes towards the end of the film, and takes on multiple additional meanings. Instead of just being a chance to highlight the franchise's past and future, the ending of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire also includes a sweet note that explains the film was "For Ivan." This is a reference to one of the creatives who was responsible for the original Ghostbusters, and whose impact on the franchise has been felt for decades.

Matthew Gray Gubler is set to star in a brand new CBS series, and that boosts his chances of coming back to Criminal Minds: Evolution. As an original ensemble member, not having Spencer Reid as part of the cast of Criminal Minds: Evolution has been a big topic of conversation among those who enjoy the series. There was initial confusion on why Gubler isn't really involved, but ultimately, it was determined that his absence boiled down to scheduling conflicts. The actor wanted to venture out and do something different after playing Reid for 15 seasons on the CBS series.
Everyone involved in Criminal Minds: Evolution has been supportive. In return, Gubler has expressed his desire to come back as Reid. Bau's golden boy is still technically a member of the team, with his desk intact. In season 1, it was revealed that he was just working on a different case, but...

Criminal Minds: Evolution's chances of bringing back Spencer Reid seem to be dead now after an exciting new update about Matthew Gray Gubler. The Behavioral Analysis Unit (Bau) ended its 15-year stint on CBS with a feel-good finale that ushered in a new era for the team. However, the procedural proved to be far too popular to be canceled, resulting in Paramount+ greenlighting its revival on streaming. Essentially a continuation, the Criminal Minds: Evolution cast features many of the established characters in the original show but with some absences from Emily Prentiss' tight-knit team, most notably, Reid.
Besides his genius and quirks, being on the show for a decade and a half allowed the procedural to really flesh out Reid's personal storyline, which included his interesting origins and tumultuous private life. He had been in various tense situations, and at times, even became the victim of some of the...

Matthew Gray Gubler is set to return to CBS, but not for Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3, as he'll instead lead the procedural Einstein. Gubler was notably one of the few long-time Criminal Minds cast members not to reprise his role for Evolution, which disappointed fans who enjoyed his portrayal as Dr. Spencer Reid. Even though the actor is open to reprising the fan-favorite character, he has largely kept away from TV roles in recent years except for a recurring part on the short-lived Hulu series Dollface. That will soon change.
Deadline confirms that Gubler will lead the Einstein pilot for CBS. The actor will also produce the pilot, which hails from Monk creator Andy Breckman and director Randy Zisk. A procedural with comedic undertones in a similar vein to Monk, the Einstein pilot will follow the great-grandson of Albert Einstein, who is played by Gubler.

Exclusive: Big news for Criminal Minds fans — one of the long-running series’ most popular stars, Matthew Gray Gubler, is returning to television as the lead of another CBS crime procedural, Einstein (working title).
Gubler is set to play the title role and produce the CBS Studios pilot, from the Monk team of creator/executive producer Andy Breckman and director/executive producer Randy Zisk. Like Monk, as well as the German series Einstein is based on, the CBS procedural is a drama with comedic undertones.
In it, brilliant but directionless, the great grandson of Albert Einstein (Gubler) spends his days as a comfortably tenured professor until his bad boy antics land him in trouble with the law and he is pressed into service helping a local police detective solve her most puzzling cases.
Gubler’s Lew Einstein is a popular professor at Princeton… when he actually shows up for class. Irreverent and misguided,...

As Criminal Minds: Evolution continues on Paramount+, many hope that some of the show's original actors (e.g. Shemar Moore) will return, but it would be difficult for Moore to reprise his role as Derek Morgan in season 3. Criminal Minds: Evolution is a revival of the CBS police procedural crime drama and premiered two years after its series finale. Consequently, the world of Criminal Minds lives on as Evolution heads into its third season. While many original actors have returned for the revival and are expected to be in season 3, Moore, unfortunately, isn't one of them.
Production on Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 began in August 2024, and while Paramount+ hasn't announced a release date, many predict season 3 will be released in 2025.
Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2's ending left many questions unanswered, including if Voit survived the prison attack. Thankfully, Paramount+ announced that the show had been renewed for a third season prior to its season 2 finale.

Quinta Brunson seemingly has a lot of pull in Hollywood, given that so many celebrities have made cameos or guest-starred in Abbott Elementary over the course of its three seasons. The ABC mockumentary sitcom, created by Brunson, follows the lives of the teachers at Willard R. Abbott Elementary School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Abbott Elementary has arguably helped revive the mockumentary trope and has been a massive success for ABC. Its achievements can be attributed to its hilarious and talented cast (including the various A-list celebrity cameos and renowned guest stars).
A cameo in Abbott Elementary is when a celebrity plays themselves, and a guest star is a major actor in a small role in the sitcom.

Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2 may be over, but we’re already looking forward to what happens next. Even though it’s still early, we do know the show will be back for season 3. Plus, the season 2 finale already set up a possible arc that will continue to involve Elias Voit (Zach Gilford).
In the season 2 finale, Voit had started his prison sentence, where he for some reason had requested to be put into the general population. In the final scene, he was attacked while doing laundry. Almost immediately, based on his previous behavior and how diabolical he could be, there were suspicions that he planned this himself. There is no doubt Voit is prepared to do whatever it takes to get out of prison as soon as possible.

Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The series explores the pizza-loving heroes as they emerge from the sewers and onto the streets of NYC. Host, writer, podcaster and stand-up comedian Claire Lim will join the voices of Leo, Raph, Donnie, Mikey as well as series producers,...

Exclusive: The BBC has tied with PBS on a Chris Packham-fronted series about evolution, as the corporation reveals it has doubled its number of blue-chip science shows.
Evolution will tell the story of the millions of generations that gave rise to animals today, tracking one animal per episode. Species in focus will range from the bat, whose ultrasonic hearing makes it one of the deadliest hunters on the planet, to the peacock and its magnificent feathers, to the kangaroo, which owes its impressive leaping not to its legs but to its teeth.
Packham, who also hosted last year’s Earth for the BBC, will take viewers back in time to chart evolution utilizing advances in genetic analysis and CGI.
“This is new, shiny and immediately accessible,” BBC Head of Science Tom Coveney told Deadline. “It’s full of animal-based facts but also because there are millions and millions of...

Criminal Minds: Evolution's love triangle between Tyler, Garcia, and Alvez is unnecessary and distracts from the main storyline. The show's office romance execution is problematic and doesn't add anything to the overall plot, especially as Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2 deals with darker themes. The unresolved love triangle needs resolution before everyone, including Tyler, returns for Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3.
With Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2 entering its final stretch, I am so ready for the show to end Tyler Green, Penelope Garcia, & Luke Alvez's complicated relationship. As a loyal follower of the Criminal Minds franchise even when it was still on network TV, I know that romances aren't exactly its strong suit. The show never really fully delved into this particular storyline, even as its fellow police procedural dabbled into the same arc, with Law & Order: Svu doing its back-and-forth with Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler, as well as...

Thomas Gibson's return as Aaron Hotchner could improve Criminal Minds: Evolution, addressing character dynamics and potential romantic relationships. Hotch's return could provide support for Emily Prentiss amid her personal struggles in Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2 Showrunner Erica Messer has expressed openness to bringing back original series characters, but Gibson's past behavior may complicate his proposed Criminal Minds franchise return.
Aaron Hotchner's return can make Criminal Minds: Evolution better as highlighted by Thomas Gibson's latest comment about the police procedural. Being on CBS for 15 years was an impressive feat for the series, but it also meant that it went through a series of cast reshuffling over the years. Mandy Patinkin's departure as Jason Gideon set the precedent for this, which made it easier to accept that some characters, as beloved as they are, would only be in the project for a limited time. Amid all exits, however, Gibson's...

Emily Prentiss has led the Bau team for a while now, but Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2 has been particularly challenging for her. In Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2, episode 6, JJ visits Prentiss, who is clearly high, at Garcia's apartment. Despite the Bau-Gate situation, JJ and Prentiss's friendship will likely remain strong, ensuring their relationship will continue in Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3.
Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2's new promotional clip shows Emily Prentiss being hilariously high. After Thomas Gibson was fired from the show, Paget Brewster stepped in to become the Bau's new leader. Considering her history with the team, it was a rather smooth transition. Unfortunately, the case about Gold Star and Elias Voit's continued threat in Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2 are proving to be more challenging than initially perceived. Aside from leading the team, Prentiss has also been dealing with the guilt of Deputy Director Bailey's death, not...
