Trivia

WrestleMania XII

Edit
It was Dustin Rhodes' idea to wear lingerie underneath his Goldust outfit. According to Dustin, he had purchased the lingerie from Frederick's of Hollywood, in the "Big Girls" section, after consulting with Terri Runnels and Vince McMahon, who loved the idea.
According to Bruce Prichard: The Ultimate Warrior changed the finish of his match with Helmsley moments before walking out to the ring. Warrior was scheduled to win, but not in a squash.
Producer Bruce Prichard claimed that talks took place for a match between Roddy Piper and O.J. Simpson at this event, in which Piper would "beat the sh*t out of Simpson" as comeuppance after his acquittal in the double murder trial. However, the fear of negative feedback from sponsors forced plans to change. In the end, footage of the L.A.P.D. freeway chase involving O.J. was used during Piper & Goldust's Hollywood Backlot Brawl.
The first part of Roddy Piper & Goldust's Hollywood Backlot Brawl was pre-recorded at Universal Studios, more than a week prior to WrestleMania XII.
Goldust hitting Roddy Piper with the car was not planned. Piper ended up on the hood of the car, when he wasn't able to dive out of the way in time. Goldust also clipped his car against a dumpster, which started rolling unintentionally towards a parked Rolls Royce of a Chief Executive with Universal Studios. According to Dustin, a cameraman did his best to stop the dumpster with one hand while filming, to prevent it from colliding with the executive's car.
