As of January 2022, the list includes only one remaining living legend: (female) - Sophia Loren at #21.
At 75 years, Lillian Gish (the #17 female star) has the longest screen career for any male or female legend.
At 59 years, Laurence Olivier (the #14 male star) has the longest screen career for any male legend.
Marlon Brando (the #4 male legend), Sidney Poitier (the #22 male legend) and Sophia Loren (the #21 female legend), all made their screen debuts in 1950. Stars who made their debuts after 1950 and weren't qualified as legends include Jack Lemmon, Paul Newman, Shirley MacLaine and Clint Eastwood.
Nine of the legends include five duos: Katharine Hepburn (the #1 female star) and Spencer Tracy (the #9 male star), Humphrey Bogart (the #1 male star) and Lauren Bacall (the #20 female star), Fred Astaire (the #5 male star) and Ginger Rogers (the #14 female star), and Clark Gable (the #7 male star) and Carole Lombard (the #23 female star). The Marx Brothers (the #20 male stars) are the only team of legends.
