Leading man Shammi Kapoor loved the song from the film so much that in his later years, he used it as ringtone on his cellphone. The title of the song is "Tum Mujhe Yunh Bhula Na Paaoge".
Mumtaz was offered the lead role but declined.
Helen does her usual cabaret dance in the film, but it also contains one of her most dramatic performances, since she plays a rape victim. Years later, she remembered it as "a very nice film."
The four stars of the film (Shammi Kapoor, Asha Parekh, Helen, Prem Chopra) all appeared together before in the huge hit Teesri Manzil (1966)
