I don't believe in half of the stuff on this show, and I think the rest is cool

This is your usualy paranormal, supernatural, government conspiracy show, but I found that this one deals with some things that are very interesting, and (scary thing) very true. They deal with the usual witchcraft, wicca, ghosts, devil being pure evil kind of thing. While they also deal with some other things I didn't even know existed. They were talking one time about two lions that were killing railroad workers in Africa (the Tsavo maneaters). Another time they were saying "Did Nikolae Tesla invent a death ray?" and they showed a laser the US military has devoloped. One thing that creeped me out was when they were talking about this artist from the middle ages (I think) who would take dead semi-decayed bodies, and bath them in melted wax. When the wax would harden, they would be perfectly preserved in that state, veins, artiries, organs, and all. Another creepy segment was "Can Science Bring Dead Things Back to Life?"(I personally don't think so). But they were talking about cloning, and how you will take someone's DNA, kill them, and then clone them. creepy. I don't believe in half of the shi* they talk about on this show (UFO's, zombies, curses) but the other parts (lasers, bringing dead things back to life, Tsavo maneaters) are pretty cool. Mitch Pileggi hosts, whose semi-creepy voice is perfect for the shows creepy atmosphere

    Awful.

Despite the dependable Mitch Pileggi(A.D Skinner from "The X-Files") taking over hosting duties from Leonard Nimoy, this 8-episode, belated update of the brilliant 1976-1982 original is just appalling; an ugly, unappealing, idiotic version from 2002. Captures none, and I mean zero, of the atmosphere, skill, and delight of the original series. I certainly don't blame Mr. Pileggi, since "The X-Files" was ending that year, but this was the kind of junk that it would mock in the humorous episodes; again, what went so wrong here?

Episodes deal with familiar topics, like vampires, werewolves, ghosts, etc., but the presentation is so shockingly inept, that it defies belief. Perhaps Leonard Nimoy knew this would be awful? At least it didn't live long!

    The Tabloid of Paranormal Research

This revival of In Search of exists for only two purposes: to shock and to misinform. It's researchers must be journalists that even the Inquirer was too smart to hire. This show takes their stories and twists them to make them as shocking as possible. My biggest gripe with this show is the goal it seems to have set for itself to ruin the social image of Witchcraft and Wicca. They never tell you what it really is, but they bend and shape it into something evil and murderous. If you want a good paranormal research show, go elsewhere. This is the absolute worst resource for paranormal enthusiasts.
