The only film to star Rishi Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah together.
In the film Dak Bangla,there is a dance sequence in the film where a instrumental music is played. That same tune was recreated into the song "Khoj Mein Kis Ki" for the movie Khoj, two years later.
Rishi Kapoor believed that the audience could not accept the climax . That was the reason why the film failed.
Remake of the movie,Chase A Crooked Shadow, (1958). That film was a adaptation of Agatha Christie novel by the same name. TV movie "One Of My Wives is Missing" (1976) was also adapted from the novel.
TV Movie "Vanishing Act" (1986) was also a source of inspiration for Khoj.
