Boy Mukherjee was earlier doing the film but was pulled out by his dad Joy Mukherjee. Joy did not approve of his son's closeness to actress Ritu Shivpuri. Despite being a home production, Boy was replaced by Ronit Roy .

Govinda's item song with Samantha Fox was the selling point of the film. The producers splashed pictures of Govinda and Samantha Fox all over the films posters.
The film did not have a theatrical release in British Columbia, Canada.
