IMDb Should introduce the 0/Negative rating

This show is so pathetic that it deserves 0 on a scale of 1-10.

The show ran for 1833 Episodes and took time jumps 3/4 times. The basic concept of the show is that mother-in-law was once a daughter-in-law. The show revolved around a very large Indian Joint Family with typical day-to- day family problems amplified n times.

As poorly directed/scripted the series was it had a dedicated fan following of Housewives across India. It was series with one of the highest TRP for some time and thus Kyunki inspired more than 30 TV series in the same genre and stereotyped almost all the show produced for next 10-12 years.

worst possible serial ever

I was so relived when this show was called off. the way it took generation leaps this show must have started its story from 1900. but it all revolved in mobile eras.... LOL..LOL..LOL. so many generation in one show. creators r mad n has spoiled the serial essence of India. now I search for some good stories here n there. but all comes back at the same track. even in Wikipedia there is no full list of actors. so may Mihir Viranis, some characters were missing by the end of the show. No one knows what happened to them. plastic surgeries r another way to replace actors... huh how did it manage for so long is a question. its all because of Stupid India rone dhone wali women. now star plus has no good story line in any of their shows. somehow i think Sony has some better shows.. lets see.

Downfall of Indian tv soaps started here

Trash. Pure trash. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi was not just melodramatic - it was regressive and damaging. It pushed toxic family dynamics, rigid gender roles, and endless superstitions, all wrapped in flashy sarees and slow-motion stares. Everything was black or white - no shades of grey, no space for nuance or realism. Women were either perfect bahus or evil vamps. It dictated values instead of reflecting society. Sadly, it influenced how millions saw family and culture. For those who crave layered storytelling - this was a frustrating, never-ending circus.

Never going to recommend anyone to watch this.

If trash had a face

I wasn't a viewer of the show, but that didn't stop me from following on and off the details of this abysmally bad garbage, because people around me were tragically involved in this show. So, whether you watched it or not, avoiding it wasn't an option.

This show had had too many generations, too much drama, too much cringe that the makers needed to be sued for taking the intelligence of the normal crowd for granted.

The only positive thing I can think of is the actors. Some of the actors are really very good. But with the deranged state of Indian TV, all the talent goes out the window.

Old is gold

This show has stoeln so many hearts The chemistry between Amar and Smriti is really cute, and both of them have created mihir and tulsi perfectly. Mihir and tulsi are characters that are real, as in they could literally be a real person. After tulsi and mihir the best couple is karan and nandani. Karan nandani evergreen, timeless, special couple from indian tv show ksbkbt. So many years have passed away since the show ksbkbt went off air but the show's popular pair of karan nandani still remain fresh and special in the heart and mind of fans. This is an amazing show that beautifully portrays relationships. It shows that, if the previous relationship wasn't the best, you can still fall in love again.

One of the best shows on Indian TV

I love this show like a member of my family. The show has touched on so many aspects of real life (well they had 1833 episodes to do so), and is a very interesting everyday show. It has maintained the highest TRP in the history of Indian TV. I have watched the show over 3 times. The stories of each characters and so well developed. It is like taking a journey of 50 years with a family. It is a piece of art. As you watch the show, the characters become a part of your life. The emotion, the family bonds, the traditions, the relationships, the melodrama.....it's all included in the package.

PS: And before anyone bashes me calling me a "typical Indian woman", I want to make it clear that I am a man and NOT Indian. I still love this show and have been watching it since I was a kid.

Best TV Serial

Its the best ever TV serial.every Indian must watch all the 1834 episodes otherwise its waste being an Indian.Love Kyunki <3 and Love you Tulsi <3

The show has been the longest running serial on Indian television with 1833 episodes. ''Kyunki'' was Asia's most watched serial from 2000 to 2008. It also set records for getting the highest Target rating point/television rating points (TRPs) for more than eight years. In its eighth year too, it had the TRP of 5.6 and was number 1 across general entertainment channels.

It maintained double-digit television rating points (TRPs) for over five years in succession. The show scored an all-time high TRP of 22.1 (meaning an average audience of 110.5 million) when Mihir returned to his home to stop Tulsi from getting married. In June 2006, the show took a second leap of 20 years, after Tulsi was thrown out of the house by her husband Mihir, who thought that she had deliberately killed his mother Savita. In June 2007, Smriti Irani left the show and was replaced by Gautami Kapoor. However, due to the consequential falling of TRPs, the producer decided to bring back Smriti Irani as Tulsi. Smriti's re-entry was shown in a special episode in May 2008.

The Best TV Serial to create history in Indiam Television.

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu thi comes with some amount of criticism from a meagre, Unsensitive Populace always. On the contrary let me clarify that a TV show that has have international acclaim in USA, UK, Australia and more Precisely our neighbours like Pakistan keeping their eyes glued to T,V sets at 10:30 PM ON STAR PLUS is a sufficient reason to believe how big, Magnamious and popular the TV show had been. In the end of 20th century , Indian TV scenario was not that big and popular in terms of new content. ZEE TV ruling the roost used to make serials similar to Hindi movies of 90's. But Balaji Telefilms launched Kyunki on 3rd July 2000 which change the fortunes of the channel. One of the big misconceptions was that it was a female oriented show, but the fact is that from a five year old to a 80+ old man went along the journey of Tulsi-the protagonist. Atal behari vajpayee counts it as his favourite show till date. It is a show that talks about the cultures v/s emotions in family system and acts as a reflection of mother in law- daughter in law relationships. It received constant support from its viewers over the years and the moment people it was time for a change the show was stopped. But running a serial for 8 years is a big thing which would never be possible without public support. More than awards and acclaim it has received world wide, the best part is that Indian festivals, traditions, family values have been transmitted and applauded globally. School children, house wives, college studs, gals and husbands after tiring office work returning home and all had the same optimism to watch a show with so much of love and interest and wait excitedly for the next episode..it gave a reason for many to be happy after a rigorous work through day. Such is the impact of Kyunki. Being the highest grosser, it gave stiff competition to even prime time news channels like AAj tak, NDTV.The show has made India proud globally. Taking into account that serials running long tend to get predictable, clichéd, stereotyped..but despite all the little adversities the show had it can be neglected that some of the brilliant screenplay, acting, Editing has been awesome in the history of entertainment media business. Smriti Irani, Apara Mehta brought the characters as real to the viewers.. Despite all the negativity, let me say that the serials has given us moments from the past to cherish. Those nights of 2000's when watching Kyunki, and KBC, kahani ghar ghar ki used to be as important as other things..do think about it...Balaji telefilms rocks.. this show deserves at least 8.5 out of 10.

Nice serial

Before watching it I'm also hater of this show but now it's available on youtube and now I'm first time watching it from Pakistan and love it it follows a sensible and realistic story. It is a family show very much relatable to a real life. The modernly styled storyline of the serial is interesting and its execution is done intelligently. Also, the acting of the actors is simply a fun to watch and the chemistry between the lead pairs is excellently portrayed on the screens. The background score in the show is soothing and makes it a fun to watch people who are making fun of this serial didn't watch it for one time once they watch it they'll become fan of this serial like me.

Fantastic serial

Kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi is the best show ever. No show can replace it. It has taught us true relationship, family bonding, love & friendship. The chemistry between mihir and tulsi is just awesome. Also the friendship of all the virani's cousins with tulsi bhabhi is amazing. Karan and nandani are the heart of this show. And I just love the character of hiten as karan He is too good with this character. I want my life partner as same as karan. Only for him I have watched this show for many times.

Bestest Show Ever Till now it magic hold our heart and mind. Love for this show is only increasing. Casts are the main reason we are very much attracted with this show. Tripti virani and ansh gujral are the best villain in the show.

Superbly best

Evergreen show of all the time. Acted superbly by most of the cast. Smriti Irani has nailed it with her expression and acting skills. Also Amar Upadhyay and others like Apra Mehta, late Sudha Shivpuri has done their best. One of the childhood memories regained.

Later episodes need further improvements like need not stretch much.

Thanks to you tube for uploading this masterpiece

Seriously the best and ever loved piece of screen produced till date . I am so glad to see it again on screen after 20 years. I'm watching it on you tube from Pakistan because Hotstar is not working in Pakistan seriously it is 1000 time better than our Pakistani popular serial like Kahani, Humsafar and mann mayal. This is the best show ever produced by Ekta Kapoor. This show should keep repeating for years... I am sure everybody will love watching it. Plz upload entire serial on youtube with full episode so anyone can easily enjoy it from everywhere. The show revolved around an ideal daughter-in-law, the daughter of a pandit married to the grandson of rich business tycoon Govardhan Virani.

A must watch show

It is amazing. It is one of the best Indian drama serials I have ever watched. The story is unconventional, powerful, full of emotions with a lot of relevance to reality. The direction is superb and above all the acting is outstanding especially, Smriti irani, Amar upadhay, sawarna jha and mandira bedi have given outstanding performances. Once you start watching this amazing serial , especially first 1600 episodes you will not be able to hold on to your emotions it's really mind-blowing show.

I felt like every family can relate to the situation shown here .Dialogues were so meaningful and it really teaches you that every family has issues but what is more important that you should not keep it buried in your heart forever but learn to forget and forgive.

And for those who are blindly supporting YouTubers and roasters for roasting this show plz first watch it and then judge.

Far better than current indian serial

Three generations living in one house. A mother in law has to put up with her three mean bahu's, Savita, Daksha and Gaytri. Savita, Daksha and Gaytri always try to create trouble. Savita's main plan is to get rid of her son's wife, Tulsi. Daksha and Gaytri help her with this plan later they accept tulsi as there best bahu.

Mihir Virani decides to marry Tulsi, the daughter of their family priest. However, his mother strongly disapproves and tries to create various obstacles in Tulsi's life.

First when it was on air on tv it is very popular in our Karachi but I personally don't watch it and think that it was a boring woman watch serial but now it's available on youtube and I watch it and enjoy it it's connected to every generation.

Fantastic serial ever

Ksbkbt is globally immensely appreciated for it's realistic nature, the unbeatable chemistry between Tulsi and Mihir and creative writing that evokes a wide variety of emotions. You need to watch it if not yet watched. It portrayed beautifully family relationships, love relationships, complexities, fights, romance and what not. I am still watching this show and it's like an old wine getting better and better. I remember this show for its beautiful meaningful powerful dialogues and great story writing. This show portrayed each and every relationship beautifully. It's million times better than current indian serial all credit goes to youtube for uploading this masterpiece because Hotstar is not working in Pakistan as well as in many other countries.

Amazing storyline

The show is just beyond amazing and the only show which is near about perfect with its amazing bgm, cinematography, writing, direction and on top of all these doing absolute justice to all these is the acting of both the leads especially mihir, tulsi and karan, nandani the evergreen couple in this fantastic show.

If the serial has a tight plot amazing story brilliant cast and fast pace than dramatic bgm doesn't matter like now indian serials have no story no sense no acting skills in the actors along with irritating bgm make current indian serial a roasting material.

Wish our Pakistani serial maker also try to make serial like this masterpiece.

Don't judge the book by its cover. Ksbkbt was the best thing ever happened to indian television

It was for the first time that the power of a TV drama was realized by the makers and the channel. When the lead actor Mihir Virani, played by Amar Upadhyay, was killed by the makers, the fictional tragedy almost became a national tragedy and was discussed at home, and also in offices. Mihir's death sparked several protests to bring Mihir back on the show and eventually the producers had to bring back the dead to life again.

This show, for me is extremely nostalgic. It portrays most of the social issues that are being practiced in our society and provides a moral after every episodes but now some chapri roasted this masterpiece that's why people before watching it people think that it is boring show.

Amazing serial but unfortunately underrated due to stupid YouTubers who roast this masterpiece along with indian garbage serials

Star Plus has been a favourite Hindi serial channel for decades now. The Star Parivaar is a real thing for many sitting at their homes watching their favourite shows every day.

One of the longest running Hindi serials in India, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi gained immense popularity and had the audience hooked to their screen for a good 8 years. Released in 2000, the show is about the relationship between Mihir Virani and Tulsi who get married despite Mihir's mother's strong disapproval for Tulsi as her daughter-in-law. The rest of the show is about Tulsi trying to keep the family together and handle the various obstacles within the family.
