I saw this documentary on HBO years ago. It gave an interesting look at those living in "The Best Hotel On Skid Row." I recall a man who was sweeping his room talking about the life he used to know. Supposedly he had a wife, kids and a home in the suburbs. There was a prostitute who knew she could abandon her profession if she could only get a welfare check. There was a man who had "one of the most sought after rooms" in the hotel. His family still came to visit once a week, although they did not come inside the hotel. It has been years since I have seen this documentary, so I am sure there were more occupants interviewed. The documentary gave an interesting look at a world foreign to most people who could afford HBO.
