- [Jekyll suddenly grabs the blade, pulling Utterson in and stabbing himself. The crowd gasps and Utterson pulls the blade out]
- Jekyll: [turns clutching his mortal wound] Father.
- [collapses as Emma runs to his side]
- Mr. John Utterson, Esq.: Forgive him!
