In a 2020 interview for the Brazilian website Glamurama, producer Tom Lynch described Xuxa as an "unique artist, able to connect to her audience immediately, like Elvis". He added that "there's still plenty of space for Xuxa in American TV".
While the original show still is strongly criticized for the lack of black girls among the Paquitas, this version, had Natasha Pearce as one of the Pixies. It is widely rumored that Marlene Mattos was against the decision to have the group racially diverse.
Italian-born Brazilian musical guest Deborah Blando pre-recorded Xuxa's famous hits in English. She also has a cameo in one of her movies.
Worldwide famous names that grew up fans of the original Xou da Xuxa (1988) are Gisele Bündchen, Alice Braga and Jordana Brewster. Brewster lived in Brazil as a child and reportedly was a stand-in in Super Xuxa Contra Baixo Astral (1988).
Xuxa received a stack of videos of American television shows from MTM executive Bob George, to help her English. A scribbled not told her to "practice, practice, practice".
