Remake/Inspired from the 1964 Hollywood film "What a way to go".
Sanjeev Kumar had completed his entire shooting and dubbing before his death, but he did not see The release of this film. This film was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee's formal assistance Bharat Rangachari and produced by Nitin Manmohan.
Baat Ban Jaye was the first film Nitin Manmohan had produced.
Kanwaljit had signed the film while he was dating Zeenat Aman. Once he broke up with her,Zeenat had him replaced with Mithun.
Dharmendra was to do the role Sanjeev Kumar did in the film.
