Watching Casper & Mandrilaftalen is like learning to play classical piano. It takes somebody to force you into it, it is boring, frustrating and confusing, but after a while, a whole new universe opens to the exclusive crowd (Mainly Danish-speaking weirdos)...
The show is by far the craziest, funniest and most ground-breaking TV show ever made - it makes shows like Monty Python look mainstream. The show revolves around the host, Casper, who present "news", invites "guests" (played by the other actors) and displays "talent shows". Most of what is being said *lobster soup! already now* seems completely without any structure, or without any purpose. However, by allowing *everything*, the creativity of the actors are spurred, and sharp-edged satire and criticism of "the establishment" is mixed with meaningless, absurd scenes.
You will not be able to appreciate fully this show if you watch it like you'd watch "Friends" or "Spin City", you have yo allow your fantasy flow with the fast pace, the crazy colors and the wicked universe, and you'll have almost as much fun as the authors had making it...
Just don't ask "why"...
On a scale from 1 to 10, it gets one billion killer-toucan beacons!

When i first time saw this show i was totally finished, because it was so funny that i could not stop laughing. i will recommend it to everyone that want to get a big laugh. A fantastic and crazy show i have ever seen.
I first started watching the show because of its host Casper Christensen, who's a big comedian in Denmark. The first time I have to say it was pretty boring. I didn't want to see it again. Yet the next week I turned in again (probably had nothing else to do..). I weren't quite impressed this time either. Still I watched it the following week. Few things started to become funny. But then suddenly something happened (did I finally release my crazy inner?). I started enjoying every bit of the show. When they said the show was about to end I almost cried. I taped the last episode and watched it over and over again. In the end I had it all memorized. BUT(!) luckily Casper sold Bjarne Goldbæk to FC Copenhagen and made enough money for the show to continue. Another year of crazy TV were about to come. It absolutely didn't get less funny. Now it's all over but fortunately I've got almost every episode (30-40 hours I think) of Casper & Mandrilaftalen. Don't just watch it 1 time and decide that it's bad TV. Watch it several times. I know many people who have come to like it after maybe watching it 4 or 5 times. It's great!
I bought the DVD without having seen any of the episodes, it was so funny that i'm right now saving money to buy the latest DVD.
At first you really don't understand it, but if you just open up for your crazy inner you'll understand it. Fx. without warning the host Casper Christensen throws a pair of football boots over his head and screams: "Let's get a break!" ´The guests isn't any better, it is the most wierd people you've ever seen before. I especially like the man Lars Krimi, the man without faith on himself. He thinks everything is crap!

Absolutely brilliant and ground breaking comedy from four of the most talented and bright comedians in Denmark. Lending elements from the pythonesque and then giving the screw another turn, this show leaves you rolling on the floor begging for more absurdities.
This show is in my cool book and deserves all the credit and gold it can eat.
