Ah, an alternative ending to Romeo & Juliet that William Shakespeare can smile about!!

The answer to that great DVD question about the alternative ending. If Shakespeare was alive today he surely would have filmed an alternative ending and a sequel. This is it! Great period dialogue, the story follows Romeo and Juliet when they awaken (instead of the tragic end to their lives!) and wraps up the story neatly. The costumes, performances, and story are superb for a short. If this comes to a festival near you - see it!!

    romeo and juliet

romeo and juliet is a wonderful play. It contains conflicts and issues that teens face today. For example boys and girls today look at appearance rather than whats inside and in this play juliet did just that. Juliet and knew him for less than 24 hours and already wanted to marry him. In this case it wans't LOVE at first sight it was INFATUATION at first sight. As for Romeo he was down in the slumps for a while being depressed over Rosoline who he thought he loved. Then he saw Juliet and from then on he realized that he loved her and the she was the prettiest woman and the face of the earth and a couple of hours before that he was saying the same over Rosoline. But anyway some people say that this is such a romantic story when really it's quite devastating and its really more of things happening out of luck and chance. I really love this story because teens can relate to it because now in teens generation once a guy or a girl see one another they instantly "LOVE" them... also as i see it the word "LOVE" has been thrown around in this story a lot when really juliet nor romeo knew what it really means.Romeo and juliet really did like each other but i could tell ass the story went on that it was too good to be true and that if you can fall in love that easily than you can die for love that easily too. so to make a long story short i really love the play and CHOOSE your love wisely!

I'm going to have a seizure

I've mutilated my intellect by watching just the trailer. Now I'm done for sure ..

Like Elvis Shakespeare Might not Be Dead!

Alright, N. Barry Carver MIGHT not be The Bard Incarnate, but man o' man can this guy write...

    and direct...

    and produce...

    and act!

"Romeo & Juliet Revisited," is an exceptionally witty and well made short film. Carver's action starts where Shakespeare left off, the closing scene of the "Romeo & Juliet."

Can the dead really live happily ever after? Can you find Shakespeare alive and well and writing short films in Hollywood, California? You'll have to see "Romeo and Juliet Revisited" for yourself and find out. I did and I know, but I won't tell...

though I will offer a hint... miracles can happen.

Don't like Shakespeare? You'll still love "Romeo & Juliet Revisited"!

I've never really liked Shakespeare, I know that's hard to believe, so it was with great trepidation that I approached "Romeo & Juliet Revisited". I needn't have worried! The normally "stodgy" (in my opinion) Shakespeare dialog was just modern enough, while still keeping to the Shakespeare tradition, and filled with wonderful plays on words. The acting, locations, directing and writing were all first-rate and made for an enjoyable experience. I liked it so much that I actually saw it a second time and caught some clever lines I'd missed the first time through!

I can't help but recommend that you see "Romeo & Juliet Revisited" at your first opportunity. It's currently making the Film Festival circuit so keep your eyes peeled.
