The Secret Life of Us (2001)

Trivia

The Secret Life of Us

Edit
Production ended in 2004 with the completion of the fourth season. The decision had been made to discontinue production after the first three episodes of the fourth season aired in Australia to disastrously low ratings. The program was removed from its primetime slot. The unscreened episodes from that final season were broadcast with little publicity in late 2005. Season four was not shown in the U.K.
Deborah Mailman (Kelly Lewis), Sibylla Budd (Gabrielle Kovich), & Spencer McLaren (Richie Blake) reprised their roles from the TV Movie, The Secret Life of Us (2001). They also all worked together on Tomorrow, When the War Began (2016) as Kath, Rachel & Daniel respectively.
Deborah Mailman (Kelly Lewis) & Tasma Walton (Leah) also worked together on Mystery Road (2018) as Kerry Thompson & Mary Swan respectively.
Produced by Southern Star Group and screened in Australia from 2001 to 2005 on Network Ten and on Channel 4 in the UK. Initially co-funded by the two networks, Channel 4 pulled out after the third series and the fourth series was not aired in the UK.
David Tredinnick (Simon trader) & Todd MacDonald (Nathan Leiberman) also worked together on On the Beach (2000) as Radioman Giles & U.S. Analyst respectively.
