Great for kids

My 5 year old son picked this rental and he loves it! We watched repeatedly over the weekend. I had never heard of it, or noticed it on the shelf before, but I am really glad he did. Full of harmless, silly fun, he laughed a lot at the antics of the Koala and the bumbling bad guys. It has those silly bumbling type of Hollywood bad guys that are not scary, so I didn't have to worry about scary stuff. More for kids than parents, the kind of movie you can put on while keeping one eye on the kids and cooking dinner or using the computer. The koala is obviously fake which is OK for this kind of movie. Not one the family is going to gather around repeatedly but one the kids can watch alone or with a pal. Surprised it came out in 2001, as this is our first time finding it

Ozzie is a lovable film, especially the title character but, parents, you may want to preview it first

Great Great SUPPPER

My roommate Shelia and I, Roxanne, were planning on going on out to a party tonight and realized that a night in with Ozzie and a bowl of pickles was 900% times better......we highly recommend an Ozzie DVD, 1 liter of mountain dew and some homemade pickles for a fabulous night in....the best thing was the soundtrack...absolutely amazing and life-altering...honestly...love love love it...Spencer breslin is a god and genius for a little boy actor...so is Ozzie who was stated in the ending credits (maybe as a joke) is played by fur bits and pieces....weird......the eternal question is "is there a real talking koala in Australia?"...one will never know!
