[Beck turns on magnet with his heel. Dorothy begins to get pulled up to the magnet]
Roger Smith: Dorothy!
Beck Gold: Don't worry, I have plans for her, too. I'll put her control system to good use.
Roger Smith: Don't you dare!
Beck Gold: Oh shut your trap! You have humiliated me exactly HOW MANY TIMES? Not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES! Well, you're not gonna do it anymore!
[Beck opens Dorothy's hairband CD drive]
Roger Smith: No, Dorothy!
[Beck sees Dorothy's CD drive with a lock on it]
Beck Gold: Huh?
R. Dorothy Wayneright: You never learn, do you?

Alan Gabriel: Destroying pretty dolls is always entertaining. But it'll be so difficult to match the pleasure I'll get, from destroying a work of art like you!

Schwarzwald: Even without the events of 40 years ago, I think man would still be a creature that fears the dark. He doesn't face that fear, he averts his eyes from it and acts as if he doesn't have any memories of his past. But, 40 years is both a short time and yet, a long time. Man's fear has withered. And even time itself tries to wither the desire to know the truth. Is it a crime to try and learn the truth? Is it a sin to search for those things which you fear. My purpose in this world is knowledge, and the dissemination of it. And it is I who is to restore the fruits of my labor to the entire world. Fear... It is something vital to us puny creatures. The instant man stop fearing is the instant the species reaches a dead end, only to sink to pitable lows, only to sit and wait apathetically for extinction. Humans who lose the ability to think become creatures whose existance has no value. Wake up! Don't be afraid of knowledge! Roger Smith: My name is Roger Smith. I perform a much needed job here in this city of amnesia.

Schwarzwald: I've lived my life as a newspaper reporter. I uncover the truth and write my articles. R. Dorothy Wayneright: What exactly are you? A human? An android just like me? I'm unable to determine what you are.
Alan Gabriel: I'm the boogeyman!

Beck Gold: Worried about your robot *lover*?
Roger Smith: Don't be ridiculous, Beck, that's physically impossible.
R. Dorothy Wayneright: What do you mean "impossible"? You're so cruel, Roger Smith, you're so cruel...

Roger Smith: Norman must be senile. How else could he possibly confuse an android for a woman?
R. Dorothy Wayneright: You couldn't tell the difference at first, either.
Roger Smith: Er - it was dark! I couldn't see in that dump.

Roger Smith: Well, I do have some household rules, Dorothy, and while living here you're obligated to observe every one of them.
R. Dorothy Wayneright: What kind of rules?
Roger Smith: The first one is a rule that even I follow. If you stay here, then you wear black.
R. Dorothy Wayneright: Your sense of fashion, Roger... really reeks.

[Roger is confronted by the serial killer R-D in the train tunnel, and is trying to figure out the "D" in her name]
Roger Smith: "R" stands for "Red". What's the "D"?
Red Destiny: That's what being commanded means.
Roger Smith: [confused] Death? Devil? Dark?
Red Destiny: Destiny!
Roger Smith: Destiny?
Red Destiny: Who commands YOU, Roger Smith?
Roger Smith: No one commands me!
Red Destiny: Then WHY do you pilot it?
Roger Smith: Are you talking about the Megadeus?
Red Destiny: They are the sacred chariots of mankind. Those who pilot them are intended to be commanded. If you admit that you are not, then you must PERISH!
[She raises her gun to fire, but Roger hurls his flashlight at her, hitting her in the head and making her lose balance]

Alan Gabriel: But I haven't killed him yet!
Schwarzwald: You! You contain the foolishness of both man and machine!
Alan Gabriel: Shut up!
Schwarzwald: It chooses one who uses the power of God created by man, one who is able to arrive at one truth! That's not the case with you!
