The Mummy (2001)

Trivia

The Mummy

Edit
Imhotep's backstory was changed for the series due to the adultery references from the original films being completely inappropriate for a children's show. As a result Anck-Su-Namun was removed from the storyline entirely in season 1. However, she was brought back for season 2.
The characters on the show look nothing like their movie counterparts because the studio wanted to save money and avoid paying for actors' likeness.
Due to low ratings and poor reception from the critics, the series ended up being canceled after two seasons. However, the finale does wrap up the main storyline while also leaving some wiggle room for a potential sequel.
According to Grey DeLisle herself, her voice over work as the British-accented Evie O'Connell laid the foundation for her later role of Princess Azula from Avatar the Last Airbender.
In the films Rick O'Connell specialized in using guns when fighting which he keeps a stash of different guns. Due to guns being inappropriate to show or reference on children's shows, Rick uses a whip in this series instead.
