Trivia

Balto: Wolf Quest

Edit
(at around 11 mins) The box that the pups are in while being adopted is the same medicine box Balto delivered in the first film.
None of the celebrity voice actors from the first film (Kevin Bacon, Bridget Fonda, Bob Hoskins and Phil Collins) reprised their roles as Balto, Jenna, Boris and Muk & Luk respectively, instead replacing them with more experienced voice actors (Maurice LaMarche, Jodi Benson, Charles Fleischer and Kevin Schon), who'd also voice them in Balto III: Wings of Change (2004).
The plot was inspired by some of the lyrics to "Reach for the Light" from the previous Balto (1995) movie.
Aleu was named for the Aleutian Islands.
Of Balto and Jenna's brown-and-white and red-and-white pups, three names are known for sure: Kodi, Dingo, and Saba. The two unnamed pups, the subjects of many "Balto" fan-fictions, have had names such as Kiona, Taktovik, Wolfe, Stadka, Anchorage, and Tydye.
