Bolek Polívka turned down the part of Lucipher, eventually played by Csongor Kassai.

Vlastimil Brodský was supposed to play the part of king's old servant. Unfortunatelly, the actor died shortly before shooting. The part was eventually played by Lubomír Kostelka.
