Armando Iannucci’s The Death of Stalin has begun principal photography today, with filming to take place in England and Ukraine.

Based on graphic novel The Death of Stalin by Fabien Nury and Thierry Robin, the drama is set in the days following the Russian leader’s stroke in 1953 as his core team of ministers tussle for control.

While some of the casting for "Super Clyde" has been low key, very exciting news has just hit the web. Stephen Fry has been cast as Randolph who is also the butler. (He has also been described as the handy man and uncle that lives with Clyde, Duke and Faith.) You can read all about this exciting casting news here at Deadline. For those who are keeping score, Stephen Fry and Rupert have crossed paths in some way quite a few times. Mr. Fry was in Thunderpants and also appeared in the commercial for the come visit Britain campaign. He also narrated the British version of the Harry Potter books. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint are rich enough to never work again – but who has the talent and ambition for adult success?

Three weeks after its release, The Woman in Black has claimed a remarkable achievement: it is by some distance the most successful homegrown horror film ever released in Britain.

Equally significantly, perhaps, it marks the transition of the Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe – playing the lead role of widowed solicitor Arthur Kipps – from one of the most successful, well paid child stars of all time to something approaching a grown-up acting career.

For all the fame and money the bespectacled Hogwarts schoolboy has brought Radcliffe over the eight-film franchise, he could provide a straitjacket for the 22-year-old actor. Radcliffe's Potter co-stars, Emma Watson, 21, and Rupert Grint, 23, face a near-identical dilemma. All three spent their teenage years in front of the cameras, becoming solidly identified with a single character.

How anyone on God’s greenish earth could despise a motion picture built solely around a child who cannot stop farting is simply beyond my limited means of comprehension. Apparently a lot of people do, as “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey” director Peter Hewitt’s underrated 2002 butt blasting action classic “Thunderpants” currently holds a particularly awful score over at Internet Movie Database. Naturally, one must approach such a crude, uncouth comedy with their absurdity cap pulled snugly around their otherwise discerning craniums, especially if they hope to see those precious end credits roll. Thankfully, when the relentless adolescent flatulence becomes too much to endure, you still have Rupert “Don’t Call Me Ron” Grint and an out-of-place Paul Giamatti to keep you company for the duration. But let’s be brutally honest with ourselves for a moment: “Thunderpants” isn’t high art, and it’s definitely not going to appeal...

It's been 10 years since Rupert Grint landed the life-changing role of Harry Potter's ginger-haired best pal Ron Weasely in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone." Needless to say, a lot has changed since the then 12-year-old actor dazzled Chris Columbus and the "Harry Potter" producers with an audition tape in which he rapped about why he should get the part.

Grint has developed from a goofy, skinny preteen -- whose extracurricular movie work consisted of starring in "Thunderpants," a film about a boy with a talent for farting (seriously) -- into a robust 22-year-old with legions of swooning female fans, some serious acting chops, and a budding post-"Potter" film career that includes the upcoming buzz-worthy comedy-thriller "Wild Target."

And so we're reaching into our Harry Potter Week bag of tricks to pull out a special treat for fans of Rupert/Ron: a photo gallery chronicling Grint's metamorphosis from awkward...

We brought you the news last month that Sam Rockwell (Iron Man 2) and Kim Cattral (The Ghost) were in talks to star in the comedy film, Sweet Baby Jesus. It seems those talks didn’t lead to anything as Deadline are reporting that Adrien Brody (Predators) and Sharon Stone (Casino) could take on Rockwell and Cattral’s respective parts. If cast, they will join already cast members Bette Midler (Hocus Pocus), Sean Brosnan (Surveillance) and Pixie Lott (a UK pop-singer).

A pregnant girl named Mary (Lott) goes back to Bethlehem Maryland at Christmas time, Her older boy friend Joe (Brody) is not the father of the child. Soon, rumors swirl that the birth is Jesus second coming.

Stone will play Mary’s protective mother, Darlene, while Brosnan’s role has yet to be revealed. Brosnan has been attached to the film ever since it was initially announced in 2008.

Martin Scorsese thinks that Rupert Grint is the real star of the Harry Potter films and would like to direct him in a 'badass' role. Is he right?

Growing up has been eventful for the Harry Potter stars. Daniel Radcliffe has trod the boards naked. Only this weekend the paparazzi chased Emma Watson around the Glastonbury festival. Yet, according to Martin Scorsese, public attention has been focused on the wrong actor – for the celebrated auteur, it's all about Rupert Grint.

"I thought he was great in the Harry Potter movies – in a lot of scenes, the boy stole the show," opined the director. "He will always have respect for the movies that gave him such a huge break, but at his age it's important he doesn't become typecast. Red alert Rupert Grint and Harry Potter fans! Several Harry Potter websites report this morning that actor Joshua Herdman, who plays Gregory Goyle in Harry Potter movies (and who was also in Thunderpants with Rupert Grint) attended a fan convention Muggle Mayhem a few weeks ago, and revealed that the ending point for "Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part I" would be the scene just after Harry, Ron and Hermione are captured by the Snatchers. Thus, "Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part II" would begin with Malfoy Manor scenes. Of course, it is too early for an official confirmation, because the director David Yates and the producers might decide to change this decision later on. It has been a very eventful year so far for Rupert Grint who has completed three film projects and is still getting positive reviews about his performance in the new Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. This one coming from moviemoxie. But the trouble making isn't left to just Harry, the trio is completed with strong performances by both Rupert Grint as Ron finding his own feet and Emma Watson as the head and heart strong Hermione. With success comes curiosity, so it seems many people are now discovering some of his early work. Several reviews are now popping up about Thunderpants. Cable documentaries have always tread a thin line between informed reporting and tie-in fluff, and for the most part, A&E’s Biography has always been ahead of the curve (though I think that anyone who remembers the late 90s heyday of VH1’s Behind The Music misses it). As a result, their program documenting the rise to fame of the Harry Potter kids comes across as a sort of weird hybrid of styles, combining some actually interesting pieces of information with the sort of interviews and footage that you might expect to see in an E! True Hollywood Story about the films. But then again, some of that is probably unavoidable for any documentary program chronicling the lives of people not yet twenty years old, or the fact that no matter how well-produced it is, no movie tie-in show can never help but feel like just that: an ancillary product to the main promotion.

While news has slowed, we thought we'd take this time let you know of various site updates and a little tidbit of information. Firstly, we have a scan from "Film Fantasy" a.k.a. "Movie Magic" which features an interview with actor Daniel Radcliffe about Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. In the one scan I provided is a picture of Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley that we have already seen. You can view the image here! As there is no new information or mention of Rupert, the other pages will not be scanned. There is a cute comment about Ron and Hermione in which Dan states that they're fighting, "which is obviously sexually charged." Actor Paul Giamatti's favourite movie experience was on the set of a little-known British film about a kid who couldn't stop farting.

The Oscar nominated star of Sideways has gone on to become one of Hollywood's most respected actors, but he fears his best work came on 2002 film Thunderpants, which featured Ned Beatty, Stephen Fry and Harry Potter's best friend Rupert Grint.

Giamatti says, "Thunderpants is a fine motion picture that I made in England a long time ago about a kid who farts uncontrollably.

"This came across my desk and I had to be a part of it... I play a guy from Nasa who kidnaps him (kid) so that he can power a rocket.

"Strangely enough this picture never made it across the Atlantic but I think it was huge in England for a while. It's one of my favourite pictures; I loved making this movie... It's every variation on a fart joke that you could possible imagine."...

Childhood Rupert Alexander Grint was born August 24, 1988 in Watton-at-Stone, Hertfordshire which is roughly 30 miles north of London. Born to parents Jo and Nigel Grint, Rupert was the first, with four siblings following him. Rupert's parents picked his name out of and hat, the first name drawn was Rupert. Rupert meaning, "bright fame" according to it's Germanic origin. His mother Jo (nee Parson) was a housewife while his father Nigel Grint was a former race car driver who gave up the track to collect and sell memorabilia and be close to his family. Following the birth of Rupert, his parents, had four more children. James was born in 1990, Georgina was born in 1993, Samantha was born in 1996 and the baby Charlotte was born in 1998.
