Luke Perry and Malcolm-Jamal Warner in Jeremiah (2002)

Trivia

Jeremiah

Edit
The series is loosely based on the long running Belgian comic of the same name.
Writer J. Michael Straczynski was so upset over the amount of control MGM had over production, that he declared that he would never work again with MGM under the current administration.
J. Michael Straczynski discussed his experience working on Jeremiah (2002) in a chapter of his 2019 autobiography Becoming Superman. In the chapter titled "Lost in the tall grass with Jeremiah" Straczynski stated that working on the show was the most soul-killing experience of his career. Straczynski alleged that a network executive did everything in their power to undercut his authority. Straczynski only returned for the second season because he claimed he was trying to loose a reputation he gained as being difficult to work with. After the second year he finally quit the series. Straczynski also stated that he couldn't go into detail about the issues working on Jeremiah as it would result in a firestorm of lawsuits from those involved. Straczynski joked that he could only share the details if he could afford enough ninja assassins to take out all the individuals involved.
Teryl Rothery (who plays Jeremiah's mother) was in Stargate SG-1 (1997), where she played a character in-residence at the Cheyenne Mountain Complex, the same place in which the Western Alliance is centered (a.k.a. Thunder Mountain).
Luke Perry's name in Oz (1997) is also named Jeremiah.
