Venu Nagavally's debut as director.
The movie is mostly based on Venu Nagavally's own experiences. The characters Sunny and Nandan are based on his close friend Simon Mathew and himself. The movie begins with showing the photographs of Kunju Pillai, another late friend, and Simon Peter, with a voice-over by Venu Nagavally, that the movie is a tribute to them.
Director cameo: Venu Nagavally appears as a customer at a bar who applauds Sunny's promise to Thara.
