Friday After Next (2002) is a movie that I recently rewatched on Netflix for the first time in a long time. The storyline follows Craig and Day-Day who are now roommates. It's the holiday season and a man dressed as Santa Claus breaks into their apartment and steals all of their gifts and rent money. Craig and Day-Day will need to try and uncover who stole their money while also managing their day-to-day life as security guards.
This movie is directed by Marcus Raboy (Janky Promoters) and stars Ice Cube (Ride Along), Mike Epps (The Hangover), John Witherspoon (Boomerang), Anna Maria Horsford (Minority Report), Clifton Powell (Deep Rising), Katt Williams (Norbit) and Terry Crews (Expendables).
The storyline taking place in California during Christmas was a fun twist on the Friday universe. It was great they brought Epps back who was funnier in this film than the previous picture. Katt Williams and Terry Crews were great additions to the cast and their versus the entire movie was awesome. The soundtrack was a step down from the previous films. The storyline was flimsy but the last 15-20 minutes were fun and the various Santa beatdowns were great.
Overall, this is the worst Friday movie but still a fun watch. I would score this a 6/10 and recommend seeing it once.
