Sharon negotiated the family's contracts for the second season of "The Osbournes." Each family member will receive $5 million, for a total of a $20 million salary; MTV must also pay all expenses to build the family a new home, and pay for their dog's therapy bills.
Aimee Osbourne also makes a few "shadowy" appearances. In the background of a few episodes her face has been blurred out. Sharon notes her presence in several DVD commentaries.
In an interview, Ozzy stated that, while he was happy that certain broadcasts of the show outside of the United States, particularly the Canadian broadcasts, were uncensored, he actually preferred the censored version. As the cursing was more noticeable, due to the bleeps.
Ozzy Osbourne admitted in a May 2009 interview on BBC Radio 2 to being "stoned during the entire filming of The Osbournes." He can't bear to watch the episodes anymore because of it.
Even though Aimee Osbourne has declined numerous times to appear on the show, she does make a cameo on "The Osbournes - Season 2 Uncensored" DVD as one of the commentators on the last two shows on Disc 2, along with Sharon and Ozzy and can also be seen briefly during the wedding vow renewal.
