Sirhan Sirhan, a Jordanian student of Palestinian descent. Despite his liberal reputation Bobby Kennedy was a firm supporter of Israel and had pledged to increase military aid to the country, notably promising to replace the military aircraft they had lost during the Six-day War, a fact which enraged Sirhan according to his diaries. Whilst there have been some conspiracy theories surrounding the assassination (that Sirhan Sirhan had been brainwashed as a 'Machurian Candidate' or that he had an accomplice) the fact that he was arrested at the scene with murder weapon in front of numerous witnesses have largely forestalled them.
